The report of the National Bureau of Statistics on Company Income Tax (CIT) for Q4 2021 shows that the Information and Communication sector paid the highest CIT collected in Q4 2021.
A total of 258.9 billion naira CIT was collected locally and a total of 88.9 billion naira was the value of foreign CIT payments.
The information and communication sector contributed 51.1 billion naira (19.72%) to the total CIT in Q4.
The manufacturing, financial and insurance sectors follow and contributed 45.1 billion naira (17.42%) and 31.1 billion naira (12%) to the total CIT respectively.
