#ChartoftheDay: 2020 Statistics of Employed Citizens by Age Group

Nigeria has a total working population of 122.1 million people out of which the age group 15-24 constitutes the highest number. According to the National Bureau of Statistics report, the age group 35-44  constitutes the highest number in the workforce. Individuals who fall under the age group 15-24 are mostly involved in some form of schooling, which prevents most of them from working. The data on employed individuals includes also the under employed, working less than 40 hours per week.

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that the age group 35-44 has the highest number of fully employed and underemployed people in the workforce with a total of over 14 million people.
