Idayat Hassan

Ms Idayat Hassan is director of the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), policy advocacy and research organization with a focus on deepening democracy and development in West Africa. Idayat was previously principal program officer and team leader for democratic governance at the CDD. She previously coordinated the Movement Against Corruption in Nigeria (MAC). Idayat is a lawyer by profession and has held fellowships in several universities across Europe and America. Her core interest spans democracy, peace and security and transitional justice in West Africa.  

Patrick Enaholo

Dr. Patrick Enaholo is a lecturer at the Pan-Atlantic University where he teaches and carries out research in the fields of digital media and creative industries. He holds a PhD in Media and Communication from the University of Leeds, UK. Patrick has been involved in various projects for industry. He has partnered with several international organisations (such as Samsung, Microsoft and Google) on activities aimed at empowering the youth, advancing knowledge through research as well as supporting the development of innovative pedagogy for educational programmes. He has pioneered a project focused on the research and development of open data with emphasis on public procurement processes. Working with a team of CSOs and media organisations, he developed a platform that captures and analyses open contracting data in Nigeria and other African countries. 

Oyinda Adedokun

Ms. Oyinda Adedokun has more than 15 years experience in managing and implementing international development projects in Nigeria. Some development projects she has worked with include the World Bank-funded Economic Reforms and Governance Project (ERGP) and the European Union and UNDP-funded Crime Prevention initiatives. She has worked on the DFID’s flagship project in promoting transparency and accountability in the Nigerian oil and gas sector – FOSTER (Facility for Oil Sector Transformation in Nigeria). As the Work Stream Lead/Intervention manager of the FOSTER revenue management component, Oyinda has worked closely with government partners on various oil sector issues. Her roles have included policy analysis and advisory, capacity building, designing technical support on various interventions to improve the management of oil sector revenues. With Civil Society and Media, Oyinda has supported and carried out a number of advocacy and capacity building projects on improving oil sector management.

Olanrewaju Suraju

Mr. Olanrewaju Suraju is a renowned human rights and social activist in Nigeria, with interest in accountability, food security, leadership, human development, anti-corruption and good governance. He has pioneered and supported the creation of several civil society organisations, networks and coalitions. He has worked as a consultant to several development agencies, international NGOs, government agencies, law enforcement agencies and inter-governmental agencies. Mr. Suraju is presently the Chairman of Human and Environmental Development Agenda and Civil Society Network Against Corruption.

Samuel Atiku

Mr. Samuel Atiku is the Senior Project Officer at the International Budget Partnership. Prior to joining IBP, Atiku was Head of Research and Lead Policy Analyst at BudgIT Foundation. Atiku comes with years of experience and led policy work on the cost of governance, budget credibility, monetary policy and public finance management reforms. Atiku is the author of numerous publications and technical memos on budgeting in Nigeria. His work cuts across different sub-sectors of the Nigerian economy including health, housing, nutrition, family planning, education, and agriculture. Atiku has also led advocacy initiatives aimed at driving legislative transparency, sub-national transparency, citizen-led social accountability, and fiscal policy reforms. Atiku holds an MRes in Public Administration from the University of Portsmouth and is an Alumni of the Harvard Kennedy School.

Tobi Oluwatola

Dr. Tobi Oluwatola is a business executive and energy economist with over 13 years’ experience in economic, financial and policy analysis in five continents. He is currently the Country Director of Solar Nigeria FTP, a subsidiary of Solar Philippines, South East Asia’s largest integrated solar developer. Dr Oluwatola consults for the development financial institutions and advises boards in the media, technology and infrastructure sectors

Temitope Laniran

Dr. Temitope Laniran is an Economist with interest in economic growth and development issues of natural resource-rich and fragile countries. He has an MSc and PhD. in Economics & Finance for Development from the University of Bradford. He studied Human Development and Food Security at the Roma Tre Universita Degli Studi, Rome, under the European Union lifelong learning programme and an affiliate of the Berkeley Institute of Transparency in Social Sciences, University of California, Berkeley. Temitope has worked with the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law, (CPEEL), University of Ibadan, as well as Equilibra Consulting both in Nigeria. He also taught macro and development economics at the University of Bradford and Institute of Development Studies, Brighton.

Sarah Muyonga

Ms. Sarah Muyonga is a lawyer with extensive experience in public policy, legislative analysis and advocacy. She has extensive knowledge and experience working on the African continent on various economic governance issues. She has previously worked with ActionAid International, Tax Justice Network-Africa and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has worked in Nigeria for the past five years as Country Manager, Natural Resource Governance Institute focusing on engagement around transparency and accountability in revenue management mechanisms, local content, systems for improved public access to information and mechanisms for improving oversight in the extractive sector. She holds an MA in Public Policy from the University of Nottingham as a Chevening Scholar, a diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and an LLB Law degree from the University of Nairobi.
